Torchiato di Bortolo

DOC COLLI DI CONEGLIANO
Torchiato is a wine with a lengthy tradition whose origins are embedded in the singularities of the Fregona area. High, steep hills, caressed by the breeze, a perfect climate for grapes to ripen slowly and be dried in wooden crates in the villas' airy lofts.
Torchiato di Bortolo interprets history in light of the more recent winemaking practices and marries ancient expertise with modern winery techniques to produce a truly enjoyable raisin wine with a myriad of aromatic nuances.
Nature - native varieties such as Verdiso and Boschera together with Prosecco - and time - months and months for the drying followed by aging in barrels - together create a rare miracle, an aristocratic wine.
Torchiato di Bortolo is the epitome of harmony, sweetness and intriguing complexity. It seduces when served as an aperitif, it is rewarding when served with goose pâté and serious cheeses, though it gives great satisfaction at the end of a meal, even on its own, served as a meditation wine, or as an accompaniment to dried fruit.

Sensory traits: amber in colour, Torchiato di Bortolo has notes of almond, vanilla, apricot and raisins on the nose, while it is sweet and moderately alcoholic on the palate.
